Default Bronco Value Question

I have an opportunity to purchase a 76 bronco with a 5.0 engine and auto trans. The transmission is junk but the engine runs. the body is okay with a fiberglass front clip. the floors look a little rough but repairable. can anyone give me an idea of what I should pay for a rig like this?

hard to say without seeing pics or seeing it in person. prices for early bronco's has went way up, i've seen pretty rough ones going for atleast $1000.

76 would have a D44 front with disc brakes, I think big bearing 9 inch, is it just a carb'd 5.0 or did they convert it to fuel injection? c-4 can be rebuilt for a couple hundred bucks, floors are easy to fix. copy and paste links below and see what a Bronco in that shape will bring, but I'm bettin 1500-2000, pretty easy

I don't care if it's an EB, it's a truck that doesn't drive under its own power, needs a resto, etc. Gas is $4 a gallon, to mos tpeople this thing aint worth shit.

We really need pics to give you an accurate window on price. I have purcased several of these and condition really dictates price.

Please find me some eb sellers with this mentality. I would love to buy a eb from them. But unfortunately this is a very rare thing!

I don't care what the seller thinks. It's what the market bares.

I tried buying a fullsize bronco from a guy on here once, I offered him half his price, (it was a late 70's he wanted like 2800). It need a fair amount of work but was a driver.

Last I remember checking he had come down to over $500 less than my offer. Still no interest. He thought I was the biggest dick in the world.

I understand the EB's do hold a little more value, but in all reality they aren't worth shit anymore, the epa, gas prices, smog laws, etc. are all killing the value of any cool classic cars, trucks, etc.

I guess it's worth whatever you want to pay to have fun. It's not really about gas mileage for me.

No, but you can't technically have much fun with it here locally legally, so you either have to drive it or tow it somewhere, then bring it home. As gas rises so does most peoples "fun budget" just from the extra cost of trying to get to work.

Gas aside, most older classic 4x4's really aren't bringing much in the last few years.

It aint worth much, you can either price it for a quick sale, or you can price it where you wanna be and sit on it for a while.

smog laws and the epa don't have anything to do with the value of an EB here in Mi. My 351 powered EB's get the same fuel mileage as my buddies 4.0 tj rubicon. I'd much rather drive an EB.

A fuel injected 5.0 is a lot more desirable than the 135hp 1976 302. I saw a non running rust buckets w/3 spd trans go for $1500 recently.
