Default Don't be pissed at Snyder...

Everyone is so pissed off at Rick Snyder for all the spending cuts and changes he wants to make to fix the state. How come no one is pissed at the politicians, special interest groups, and union leadership that has been in charge of this state (and country for that matter) for the last 50+ years? They are the ones who created the mess we are in now. Loads of entitlement programs with never ending cost increases, unsustainable pension and benefit packages courtesy of years of union deals, billions of dollars worth of pork barrel deals added into every piece of legislation passed, billions spent on projects and programs with negative results ( I.E. education, AMTRAK, etc)... it's all finally caught up with us. No one is mad at the ones who created the mess over the years. They are all mad at the people who are facing the reality that it has to stop and are trying to fix the mess before the state and the country end up down the toilet for good.

Thank you "ME" Generation, Liberals, and Unions. The mindset in this state and this country is that everybody else should pitch in to fix it all, but not me. It's apparent that everyone is going to have to foot the bill to fix things, as Snyder's plans affect pretty much all of us one way or another. No one is exempt. But all you hear is everyone crying "Not me, I shouldn't have to pay". I guess the whiners would rather have the state flushed down the shitter for good, rather than suck it up and deal with the sacrifice to fix the mess that previous leadership has bestowed upon us.

Some people will cry that Snyder is looking out for the rich people. Well rich people own businesses that create jobs. More jobs = more tax revenue being generated = more money to fix the state's financial problems. So restructuring the business tax codes = less money all us average Joes have to pony up to fix the mess.

But don't be pissed at Snyder for being the one to finally try to fix the problems...be pissed at the ones who got us into the mess in the first place. Snyder's just facing the reality that most people wish to ignore.

X2. I don't think of it so much as Snyder HAS to take care of it but made a promise that he would. That's what his whole Campaign was about and for once he's sticking to what he said. If he's successful then our state WILL come out on top and could lead the nation in recovery.

<sarcasm No, No, No, stop making sense... I LIKE giving my hard earned money away, especially when it produces no results. And I like it when people who don't believe that high performers should be rewarded wrap thier hands around the neck of a corporation. Its good for everyone. /sarcasm>

I guess if your money is not hard earned, it is easy to give it away. Its even easier to give away other peoples money.

No, the few tax cuts the people have had aren't the problem. It's the draconian business tax code that has driven businesses away, taking jobs with them and inviting no new businesses to the state. And time honored tradition of spending way more money on pork and failed entitlement programs than the shrinking taxpayer revenue can keep up with, year after year after year.

Seriously, you really beleive that after Detroit being run by the for the last 50 years and a mostly democrat state?

You must be one of those "hard working" union people that is drinking the kool-aid. Your posts show no facts, only union-type attacks on "big business". I bet you attended the uaw's special meeting about collective bargining rights.
