Tore the old brakes off yesterday, what a pain in the ass! After 33 years the backing plate bolts were almost welded on they were so tight. Got the brackets on and the hubs ready to be installed on the rotors. Then drained the rear diff and found this....

Got some parts in yesterday from Speedway Motors. Got a tranny cooler and oil dipstick. Cooler is rated for vehicles up to 18,500GVW, so i think it will do the trick!! Also painted the valve covers!!

Got my pistons back from the machine shop Monday.

Went and got a tranny cover from Towstrapteaser.

An Auto meter tranny temp gauge

Also got the fans wired up to toggle switch's. Ones an auto switch, on position will kick it on @ 185 and then off again @165. Then when the other switch is just and on/off switch, that can run while the vehicle is off.

Well went to plastic gauge the crank and it didn't end very well.....!When i drilled the holes for the splayed caps i drilled to deep and hit the oil galley. So we had to put some jb weld in the out splayed caps and put pipe plugs in the out holes. Now my block is a 2 bolt main again..

After that mess we got it back to the house and got the crank in, camshaft in, one piston installed and the timing chain on
