The Yamaha Rhino is a utility vehicle. It plows snow great and has a dump bed in the back. It's a fun trail machine but is not a hot rod like the RZR.

that yamaugly is only 2wd. so that will be fun at the dunes for a while and some 2 tracks but thats it. if the front end wasnt so godawful ugly and it was 4wd i would be on board that this thing is cool.

I don't hear many complaints from Corvette owners or WhiteRhino or other LS engine people? This myth that only OHC engines are high tech is a bunch of BS. LS engines have the same technology like AFM and cam phasing that OHC engines do. OHC engines have more pieces to break and go bad than OHV ones do. More chains or belts, more valves, more tensioners.....the list goes on and on.
So tell me why they are bad again?

If you're into prerunning, it might be beneficial.

So..............if it's geared properly who cares if it revs to 6500 or 7500. Unless your trying to outrun the narcs @ WOT for miles and miles wouldn't you rather have more low and mid-range torque?
We've had these run-offs many times @ work between pushrod engines and higher reving OHC engines. With drivers not knowing whats under the hood, the pushrod comes out on top every time.
You should stop listing to the magazine writers so much, you're getting brainwashed like the rest of the 'pushrod condemning' public.

no it comes from years of roadracing motorcycles and there is no way a push rod engine can handle the RPM's and stresses that we put on those motors and last without major overhauls. If it did work then way haven't you seen a push rod motor in a GP bike or F1 car in the last 50yrs? I don't knock push rod motors but I can tell you the OHC motors have taken more abuse and lasted in my personal experience

those motors are at the end of their limit for RPM's...like I said if they worked so well how come they don't use them in bikes or f1 cars? because they cannot take the abuse and last...
