Default 14 bolt carrier break difference

Okay I feel dumb for asking this question but I need to clarify my thoughts. On a 14 bolt carrier, is the difference between a 4.56-4.10 the distance in red...

And would the 4.56 be 3/4" and 4.10 be 3/8"

The best way I can explain it is that the difference in the two is where the ring gear mounting surface is as measured from the passenger side of the carrier.

4.125" vs 4.59"

All the 14 bolts I have geared were all the 4.10 carrier and thick 5.38's. I have yet to physically touch a 4.56 carrier for a 14 bolt (so I thought). I have a customer's 14 bolt that was suppose to be a 4.10 carrier. The ring gear that was attached to the carrier was a 4.10 but the carrier was not installed in the housing when I got it. The pinion looked to be untouched however and it had 9 teeth......hmm But when I bolted the ring gear for the 5.38 and spun the adjusters as far wide as they can go I cannot drop the carrier in. The support bearing for the pinion is in the way. I haven't run into this problem before on the other 14B's I have geared. Hence the questions on the carrier difference as I think I have a 4.56 carrier. But its at work and I am home I will have to measure it tomorrow.

Going from the pass side furthest point to the ring mounting surface looks close to 4.5 so it must be the 4.56.
Thanks

Now having both carriers in front of me I will never make that mistake again.
