Storm brews over noisy use of national forests

I really hope this doesn't actually happen.

I think we need a M&G in Novi to "talk" to the asshole that started all this. He like to watch birds. Others dont. why is his interest more important than other's?

We should probably shut off all the lights in major cities so this guy can see the stars at night too.

On tv 8 I think Monday they mentioned a very brief blip about a meeting in Lansing about this. Nothing mentioned in late news yesterday.
This is like the nuts that buy a house, then put up signs at their seasonal road access trying to shut down all traffic, but on a much larger scale.

We need an allegiance with hunters to shut this clown up

"It's about noise and about the ability to say, 'One day, I'd like to go for a walk in the woods and hear nothing but birds or maybe the sound of a squirrel running up a tree. And I'd like to have that experience separated from human disturbances,' " Meister said.

Perfect, just perfect................. I hear Antartica is nice. I'll pay for your boat ticket if you don't ever come back.

I have spent alot of time in Antarctica and you can't afford the ticket.

I woulddn't that the forests should be whisper quiet but I do believe that if he would like to go listen to nature with out disturbances there should be an area that he can do that. But I would like to see areas that are able to be used for orv's. LArger areas for orv's than bird watching since bird watching is gay and on foot you can't travel as far.

So if 1 guy wants to be able to bird watch but 100 people want to ride orvs who wins? I say the ruling should go to the majority.

There was an update on Michigan Outdoors last night pointing out the times/places of all the public input meetings, all of which have passed. Precious.

Time to find as many people as you can with acoustic instuments and have an all weekend jam session/hiking trip on the edge of his property.

My point was he thinks its going to be quiet if no ORV's are allowed. Do any of your 4200 posts add anything to a discussion? Your right, do nothing and lose the right to use public land we all own.
