What's the angle, paint a poor picture of companies that don't want to put thier money into his agendas? I don't get it.

It's the Citizen's United Supreme Court decision coming home to roost.

It sounds to me like he's trying to convince American companies to invest money in this country rather than just sitting on it. It makes perfect sense to me.

Convince or strongarm? It is their money to sit on if they want, right?

All his Blah blah blah and spend spend spend has failed, so now he is putting together the foundation for the blame game. He will blame the private sector for his failure.

The Chamber, which has long advocated for changes in immigration law, could help Obama by pushing Republicans reluctant to take up such a politically charged issue.

WTF did they mean by this?

It's pretty easy to see that millions of people abusing our system and not putting into it are destroying our country?

I would hardly define a speech to the US chamber of commerce as "strong-arming". Yes, it is their money to sit on. And it is the presidents right, and some may say his responsibility, to try to convince companies to do what is best for this country.

I agree to a point.

Didnt we just get into a huge mess because companied were not being careful with their money? Isnt it a little more responsible to sit on some instead of spend spend spend like obama is suggesting?

How can you expect a company to do whats best for the country when you have an administration that won't.

true dat! If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if they spent less money b/c of the economic uncertainty Obama has dealt us.
