You can also use something sweet, like an apple, watermelon,or any kind of rind, they love that stuff!!! Have you figured out which kind you have? reds, fox or grey?

haven't seen them since I put out my traps. I still hear them occasionally, but I am not home much during the week, so I'll know more over the weekend.

I've got reds on one side of my attic and either fox or greys on my other side.

I haven't heard a peep out of the little fuckers for a few weeks, I assume its just been too cold for them to roam around.

It was suggested by another member here to try an insect fogger/bomb.

So saturday, I woke up, set 2 up in the attic, and left for the morning.

Today, it warmed up, the little buggers came running out of the attic and were out gathering food in the front yard according to my girlfriend.

Soooo....I have not seen them in a 5 years it seems, but they are still up there.

They don't come anywhere near the live traps, and no where near any of the squirrel bait I have out in the yards.

This weekend i intend on ripping every single inch of soffit down off the house and seeing where they go from there.

reading might be fundamental here, I have live traps all over the place, they have no interest in the peanut butter, peanuts, bread, honey, etc that I have in there.

I was trying to avoid poisoning them since i have a dog who likes to eat things, but, they'll prolly die up in the attic, at this point poison might be the last resort.

You are right about the poison. I just let my kids out of the attic for a week. Once the squirrels are gone just lock them back up.

get a husky. mine has brought me 15 squirrels this year so far.

really though, It sounds like you have exhausted all the nice ways to get them. the poison will work, you're just going to have to watch your dog for a while. It will be worth it.

the bucket trick works really well with the mice I get.

If I was having so much trouble I'd call an exterminator. don't feel bad, you tried a lot of options so far.

I have a husky, but she can't fit in my attic where the squirrels are either

I think what's making this the hardest is the cold weather, they really are not moving around much.
