I might just give up on this endeavor. I really cannot find a 4x4 within a decent price range around here, they are just that rare. I'll start saving my pennies and perhaps look a little later for one.

What is that? Part of me really wants to say that's a Rolls Royce on a 4x4 frame.

My mom honestly asked why I don't just roll with my dad's '33 Ford as a daily driver. I might just take her up on that if I could figure out how hard it is to throw an EFI 351W in it and what rear axle to go with.

Im a dodge fan myself n a fan of the Hemi motors, but i would love to have a cummins if u can get one get it. diesels are more exspensive but hold their retail and i have friends with all brands of diesels and the dodge seems to get the best milage towing or not.

Get the Diesel. The cummins last the longest, and mine gets 26 to 28 mpg on the freeway under 70 mph. Theres nothing it wont tow, and thats the best part, your gas truck, (espclly the junk 4.7) down shift up hills pulling, the cummins just pours on more fuel and the turbo ramps up and that bitch haulls ass up hills while still in overdrive. Theres no substitute.

My 2008 1500 Hemi has been a great truck - powerful and pulls my 16' v-nose over the zilwaukee bridge in overdrive.

My 2000 4.7L Dakota has 150K+ miles and runs like a top, no noises, burns zero oil.

Kinda sucked for towing my YJ on a dual axle trailer.
Couple of times it would stall for no reason. More so when it was raining.
Someone attempted to steal it once.
I remember puking out the door of that truck I also remember you puking out the door of that truck the next night

i have an 08 hemi ram QC 4x4 and i love it.
its the perfect truck. it looks good(classy but rugged) drives and handles great and has 350 hp stock. also the4x4 is great. works like a charm can handle whatever you throw at it. its not to bad towing either. i pull my 97 z28 on a 22 foot car trailer and it dosent break a sweat. i highly recomend the hemi ram. and if your in the metro detroit area i very highly recomend RICHMOND CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM. great prices on new trucks and have the cleanest certified pre owned out of any dodge dealer ive been to. the only con is the MPG... dodge says its supposed to get 14city and 17 highway but i get 14-16city and 17-19highway and get the best MPG at around 65MPH. although its not horrible for a fullsize truck it still hurts your pocket sometimes with a 26 gallon tank and taking mid-grade.

for how much used trucks are it was a no brainer for me to buy a new one. The incentives are huge on new vehicles, and your not getting someone elses headaches. I bought a 2010 F150 and love it.

I heard almost the exact same thing from my friends down here. Most of them drive Fords, so I didn't know what to expect. The only Dodge friend I have has a 24V Cummins. Finding a 4x4 Cummins truck around here is extremely difficult. I'll probably eventually save my nickels for a Cummins, just because.

Wow that tank is small. What is so bad about that mpg? Want to guess what my 2005 Cummins gets for mpg? (I'll give you a hint, it is in bold text).
