Default 88 mustang gt heater core.....advice..price....who wants to do it? lol

im picking up a 88 gt and the guy says the heater core is bad..guess its a common problem .from what i read online this is going to suck to do...they say 2hrs if youve done it before 4-5 if its yours first time..

Local shop wants 575 to do it.........Is this something anyone can do?

Or anyne willing to do it for a reasonable amount

$575? Four hours labor and a heater core should be around $300. Id do it for you if you lived closer

If you're mechanical try it.

I had an '84 GT and replaced the heater core without thinking it was difficult.
