Why so sad? The 7.3 is a great motor.

Yea I would love to buy a newer body style but don't have that much cash. I will prolly get around the 06 body style. Has anyone on here straight axled the front of a dirtymax. Was wondering how difficult it was. I'm thinking I'm gonna go that route.

why waste the money to straight axle it unless your going to wheel it or seriously work it. you will loose the abs and lift it more then needed for a tow rig duty. i vote for sleeving the tre's and leveling kit with 285

Bc if I really did need to work it hard then I won't have to worry about the front end falling apart. I like to think ahead and plan on keeping the truck awhile.

1TFROT. Your dirtymax is badass. I seen it over in tow rigs. I like the whole truck being blacked out.

My '03 LB7

285's on it here, I like that size better than the 265's that are on it now. Time for new wheels n tires in the spring.

the duramax will hold up better thent he fords or dodge axles do beleive it or not plowing. dodge have weak front ends. same with fords. you wont have any problems working it hard with a stock front end. i wouldnt touch it personaly but its not mine. check around on plow site about duramaxs compared to the rest. they worked hard over there.

You will not lose the abs doing a soild axle swap. You can either swap in the AAM from a dodge or get the dynatrac hubs for your ford HP60. Personally I would go with the Ford HP60 and put hubs Dynatrac kit on it.
