Default Swapping 4.0's...

I have a 96' jeep cherokee (4.0 HO) that has super low miles on it... My question is, can I stuff this motor into a beatiful 97 jeep cherokee with an already blown motor??? I am sure that some of the sensors have changed, which I could either swap the ends or buy new ones, but are the motor mounts the same? All the fuel system the same? I know they really didnt change these til late in 99 to the distributerless crap. Any feedback would be great! Thanks!!!

Yes you can do it and it's not very hard. But you will have to use every sensor and accessory bracket from the '97, including the intake manifold and distributor. There aren't too many sensors so it doesn't take too long. If you do it just take your time and look at everything before you drop it in (it is a lot easier to swap parts with both motors out).
The motor mounts are the same.
