Default ZJ bumper build

Hey all
I started working on a winch bumper for my zj today. Did not get a lot done but only had so much time with it being valentines and all. I started off and had to open up the front of the unibody so i could get in there. I decided to use a piece of 2x4 .25 wall tubing to do the main mounts. I had to cut out part of it so i could weld nuts on the inside. I also had to knock out a frame nut that was in the way. got all the holes drilled today and most are lined up good enough. Going to weld some nuts on it tomorrow or whenever i can steal the jeep back from the misses. (she drives it in the winter to work)

got some more work done on it this weekend. Tore the front apart to pull the vacum canister that was in the way to drill some holes for the other mount. Got the mounts done and started the design progress...Whats everyone think?

well i got some more done on it today... Still a bit more i want to do. i am going to add a 2" strip along the whole bottem angled back. In the center i am going to put in 2 4" receded driving lights. A baja bar on the top. Was think about adding tube from the edges by the lights to the center baja bar and then add some flush mounted leds under the headlights on the bumper for new turn and running lights.

i ended up having to notch it to make it fit into the unibody rail. There was a diple die spot in there on one side and the 2x4 steel would not fit past it if i remember right. Pic added

Also made it easier to weld the nuts on to bolt through.
