Well, got out in the garage a little today. I swapped in a new ujoint in the longer sploder shaft and put it on the truck. Only problem I had was the rubber seal was compressed too much to allow me to put the shaft in, so I left it out for now. I have 2" of compression left, so I should be fine, but I still wanna flex it out and see how much I use both ways. I have 6" of slip total, so only about 5" usable.

I also started cutting up my steering today, shortened the drag link 3" to match my track bar, then I welded some tabs on the tie rod to attach it, paint is drying as we speak. Now I just need to go get a few 3/4" bolts to finish it up.

My daughter came out and wanted to do something, so I gave her a 1/2" wrench and said take those bolt off.....she removed my front drive shaft for me, kinda nice! Then she helped me press in a new U joint, she had fun!

Pictures of the help, I will get more of the truck when it is done.

ya just put one right in the center of your axle, itll limit droop, but not flex. so youll still be able to flex like crazy without pulling your shaft out again

^^ lol, be nice!

Yup, your right, I am right by the Big D. I do have the orange Mustang, but I have never been to the car show on Alpine that I can think of. I know there is another car that looks a lot like mine and I have heard of it going to the pizza place on Alipne, every Tuesday night right? Been meaning to go to that sometime. Next time you see a orange stang, my car has a black strip on the hood and blacked out tail lights. Anyway, thanks!

No prob man!

Some work done, changed steering up a little.

You get the idea, but it is all 3/4" heims, with 3/4" bolts. The pitman arm is still cooling at work so it isn't on, but it will be a 5/8" bolt in double shear. The tube is 1.5" dia 1/4 wall DOM. All the gussets and tabs are 1/4". I flipped the tie rod to the top of the knuckle also, so I gained a little clearance. I took 3" out of the drag link so it is the same length as the track bar, so my bump steer is better.
