Good and bad with a 79 f100?

I am in at getting a 1979 f100 Is there anything that I should look for? I am wanting to lift it and I have a 390 that I want to but in it? Also It is 2wd am I going to have any problems converting it to 4x4? Would I be better off getting something else?

Sounds like an extremely generic question. There are about a thousand different answers. My answer is good luck.

oh yeah, just remember if you tear it all apart and dont want to put it back together i will buy it off you cheap!
