Default big block c6

i have a c6 big block tranny. it came with a spacer between the t-case and tranny that was 5.75 inches. i got the longer spacer thats 8.75 inches. was wondering what out put shaft i need and where i could get one/ thanks

there is a short shaft and a long shaft. Transmissions are the same other than the different tail housings.

As far as i remember, transmissions that came with an np205 on the back had the long shaft and np203's had the short shaft. So most f150's and broncos from the late 70's should have the longer one. Some did have full time 4wd with the 203 though.

Wrong. Pick up = short shaft. Bronco = long shaft. Not sure why that is the way they did it.

Not completely correct either, my 79 f250 has the long housing and a buddy's 79 bronco had the short one on it.

does any body know were i can find a longer output shaft? ive looked for 4 days so far.
