I remember reading the thread that feva4u references. I LOL'd. If I remember right, when questioned about his unrealistic gains he told 95geo could buy a controller from him and rent some dyno time to prove him wrong. He could not produce any dyno data to back up his big claims.

Becky,
I did my 6.0 swap about 4 years ago. His charge to rework the wiring harness and flash the ECM was $500. I have no idea if the price has changed but he sure was great to work with.

I had Jims performance do my harness as well and it cost $570 and he reflashed my PC and all that.. Everything is nice and neat and labeled. Just make sure you read the labels and not rely on what connectors fit where..

Good guy to deal with and will stay on the phone hours trying to help..

That guy is an ignorant jackass. I called him out a few times for claiming to make HUGE gains that are only realistic with a cam swap and then some. Like a 450hp 08 5.3L with only his calibration. His way of quantifying it was a 1/4 mile time and mph with a stopwatch or something like that. And then he guessed the weight of his jeep at something like 6k and you can see the room for errors multiplying.

I don't know everything there is to know about calibrations and I certainly don't claim to. He was making claims and spouting information off that only made him dig a deeper hole. When I contacted him via PM I approached him very seriously and professionally. He just talked in circles and wouldn't go into any detail or even consider my offer to validate his product. If I can remember where I put the saved PM's I'll post them up..... It's good for a laugh.

Jims performance- great company with great products.

Wayne Hartwig- bad for your engine!

Hmmm, I was not aware of any of this. I'm glad this has come out. I won't be going to him when the time comes like I had planned.

I've heard nothing but fantastic things about Jim's Performance. Average price, but great product, super fast turnaround, and outstanding customer service and support.

www.lt1swap.com

Why don't you do the harness yourself? I did my own for my 5.3L and it really wasn't that hard. This guy tells you everything you need to know. Took me a Saturday to do it and it sounds like you're waiting around for motor mounts anyway. If you feel you need to send your harness away I had a buddy that sent his harness in and was happy with Branden's work (lt1swap). Last I checked he was deleting VATS and O2's or whatever else you wanted for 75 bucks including return shipping. If that's all you need it's a cheap way to go.

The wiring (or any of the rest for that matter) really isn't that bad guys, just a matter of following directions. It's been done lots of times and people have documented it on every Jeep forum out there. Better than basic skills are all that's necessary, you don't have to be a pro.

Maybe I should start putting LS motors in Jeeps for other people, THAT would be a fun part-time jig.

You will love the LS in your Jeep when it's done. I don't remember seeing it here, what are the axles going to be?

Novak makes everything so easy now it's not even fair

I was pretty fussy about the way I wanted mine to sound. I ended using some Hooker block huggers (very similar to the Novaks now available), then went into a single 3" universal cat and Hushpower Pro series muffler with a full tailpipe. I am really happy with how it turned out. Here's a couple clips from the dunes where you can hear it.
