Default ignigtion module HEI

What exactly make ignition modules go bad in an hei distributor? It seems as if ive replaced more of those then anything else dealing with the ignition

Too much heat will kill them. Are you putting the heat sink paste on when you install the new ones?

Open wires or a coil with insulation broken down can cause secondary (high) voltage to leak to the low voltage side of the system. Very hard on moduals.

weak ground or grounds in the ign system
