there not that big for wind turbines. that is a heavy hauler. The ones that do wind turbine blades are not really heavy duty and they just shrink them down for the return haul. they only have 4 or 5 trailer axles

Those are the same trailers that bring in the large co-extrusion injection machines at my dad's company. Them things are MONSTERIOUS......!

The wind turbine tower sections are being brought in from Wisconsin via the Ludington Car Ferry, then trucked to points south / east... that way they avoid the Chicago highways.

That is what is called a "Bridge law trailer" in the heavy haul business. Fun to work around and can haul some monstrous shit.

My brothe drives for that company. They are in Manchester Mi. Says they are actually really easy to drive as they have rear steer.
