(2) Part-outs: '94 XJ 2-dr. & '96 XJ Classic 4-dr.

Parting out to fund
my daughters XJ build
. I'm open to offers on these parts, but please keep it reasonable. Parts will be pulled as-needed; vehicles are still complete at this point. Both vehicles run & drive at this point. As far as mechanicals, I have called out any known issues below. Due to the age/mileage on the vehicles (242K & 198K, respectively), the parts are all sold "as-is", and you should inspect anything you buy. Brake parts seem to work fine on both vehicles, but new pads may potentially be needed. Major components may need a little bit of lead-time to pull, as I work full-time, and need to schedule the major work in.

Trade offers for usable XJ-related parts that'll help Mira's XJ build are welcomed/encouraged, but at this point, we have most of the basics we're looking for. Hit us with what you have to offer, though.

1994 Cherokee (XJ) 2-dr.
  • AW-4 transmission, quiet operation, but doesn't seem to want to shift out of 1st gear at this point, but I will say that the linkage/indexing is currently messed up, too: $50 as-is.
  • Fiberglass rear hatch, good condition, on small area that is marred (easily fixed), no cracks, missing interior plastic cover panel and lock core/latch (alraedy sold;), rear defrost in window, no wiper motor (has a wiper motor "delete" in place): $25
  • Taillight housings, good condition: $25/pair
  • Other parts...just ask.
  • PCM: $40 *SOLD 9/20 (Cecil14/Anthony)*
  • (4) wheels with pretty decent tires (I'll post the specifics shortly): $50/set. *SOLD 9/21 (Corey G. for $40)*
  • Front seats, dirty, but usable. *GONE*
  • Radiator: $20 *SOLD 9/28 (Tammy)*
  • Gas Tank: $25 *SOLD 9/28 (Tammy)*
  • High-pinion Dana 30 & 8.25 axles, 3.55 gearing, good functional condition: $100 *SOLD 10/4 (jeepboy73)*
  • We're keeping: Grill/header panel, passenger fender, doors, windshield, 2-dr.-specific glass & interior trim/components, transfer case, driveshafts, (possibly) hood, NP-231 transfer case: $125
  • Good-running 4.0L engine: $250 *SOLD 11/14 (bumpy)*

1996 Cherokee (XJ) 4-dr. Classic
EDIT 9/29/2010:
The white '96 is now parked for the fall/winter. I'll consider pulling small, easy-to-pull parts if there's something specific you need, but otherwise, this part-out is wrapped up for Fall 2010. Thanks.
  • We're keeping: Driver fender, dash, all gauges/wiring, front seats, roof rack, engine/trans/t-case
  • (4) Aluminum wheels w/"roller" tires, wheels are oxidized, tires hold air just fine. NOTE: The 4th aluminum wheel has a flat tire, but is included. A 5th non-matching steel wheel/tire is included also: $30/set *SOLD 9/23 (Devon)*
  • Hood, one small dent near the cowl, but otherwise nice: $30 *SOLD 9/24 (Doug)*
  • Grill & header panel, one small (repairable) crack ~1" long in the header panel. Not perfect, but looks pretty good overall. $35 with all lights. *SOLD 9/28 (Tammy)*
  • Passenger fender: $15 *SOLD 9/28 (Tammy)*
  • Front bumper: $20 *SOLD 9/28 (Tammy)*

Misc.
  • Clean/uncut '93 XJ Sport 4.0L engine wiring harness: $25
  • Clean set of stock XJ front coils: $15

Hey Craig,

Hows it feel to be building a jeep again? I could use those rims/tires as long as they are still road worthy with a little bit of tread. Got an up close pic of them?

Ben

Hey Ben - Yes, it feels good. The pics of the red Jeep wheels/tires will have to wait about a week until I get it home; I can get some closer-up pics then, but it would probably be easiest to swing out and take a look at 'em in-person. I can PM you my address...I'm only about 5 minutes from you.

So I take it you won't be buying any of my parts. Way to keep a guy hanging.

I should be set, Bruce. The last I knew (via e-mail 10 days ago), you weren't sure if you were selling your XJ as-is, or parting it out. I didn't realize anything had changed with that. Sorry if there was a miscommunication.

That being said, I'm still interested in the two doors from your 2-dr. white XJ if they're in good shape (rust/dent-free). I know the glass is missing. Let me know if you're still parting it out, or getting rid of it as-is.

Thanks,
Craig

Sorry, I'm having a bad day, week, month, and year and I jumped to conclusions. The doors are rust and dent free, but I do not know when I will get a chance to remove them.

Bruce - I understand Travis talked with you, and that you're looking for the title. I'll look for an update from him via e-mail.

BTT on my part-out parts.

The underside is VERY crusty (floorpans are shot), as is the driver rocker panel. IMO, it would not be a good basis for a project.

The seat in the '94 is still available, and the frame is in good shape. However, I think they may have changed the design between the '96-down and '97-up models. You may want to do a quick search to confirm.

Do you have the drivers and passenger seat brackets off the 94? I do not need the seats.

I would give you $50 shipped for them.

I do have them both available, and $50 shipped sounds fair. Let me work on getting them pulled. I have a few other parts to pull first...I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, PM me your name, address & contact info.

Thanks,
Craig

Hey Craig. It's Jay from around the corner. Wondering about those leaf springs. I might need that front axle, too... still need that aerial, too.

Good to see you here, Jay. I e-mailed you back.

Bump for '94 XJ axles still being available. The craigslist a$$clown who asked me to deliver them stood me up. Make me an offer on the axles.

Also, the white '96 XJ Classic is going to be parked for the fall/winter, and I won't be pulling anymore parts (unless they're minor interior bits) until spring.

Thanks,
Craig

White '96 part-out is on hold until spring (original listing has been updated).

Parts from the red '94 are still available, and I'll deal on the axles to get 'em gone.

*For anyone interested, I "may" be going back and forth to craig's in the next few weeks/month. If you happen to need something and can arrange it through Craig, I would be more than happy to help with transport back to the east side. Items would then need to be picked up at my house in Clarkston, 48346.*

Thanks
Travis
