are the required to be legal in mi?

legal or not, I've never been stopped since I took mine off after crushing them. I did order new ones, just haven't had time to paint them.

I have been told yes they are on a trailer.....Just make them removable for loading, then pin them back on once loaded

destroyed my fenders a couple years ago, havent had them on, never been stopped...heard both ways on this one, but havent seen anything in black and white yet, so I'm assuming no

My trailer is almost deck over with the tires sticking out just a couple inches. I have gone probably 10 to 20 thousand miles and never been stopped. But the tires are mostly covered.

not sure the law but I do know that some semi flat beds do not have fenders. so from that I would guess no. probably one of those laws if it was built with it it needs them. Again just guessing. Might have to put mudflaps on. Its not illegal for a semi to bobtail and all of our trucks have no fenders just mudflaps.
