Default Bernero crashes Snyder Town Hall Meeting

While I agree with Snyder that most of the televised debates are poorly organized and one candidate usually ends up just trying to get in a bunch of shots at the others and get some good soundbites, I didn't like his insistence on avoiding most of the debates for the primary and his efforts to avoid debates for the general election as well (the article below makes it sound as if Snyder is working really hard to set up at least three debates with Bernero, but that doesn't seem to be the case with 99% of the other articles and interviews I've seen).

Anyway...
I do find it sort of funny that Bernero randomly showed up at one of Snyder's town hall style meetings yesterday and both ended up taking questions from the audience. It sounds like both ended up being pretty congenial towards one another - which was probably not the goal Bernero had in mind as I suspect he was trying to goad Snyder into getting angry or saying something stupid.

Bernero crashes Snyder\\\\\\\\\\'s town hall meeting at country club

Since it seems like Snyder doesn't really want to do actual debates, why not a series of joint town hall meetings like the impromptu one yesterday? Just a thought.

I questioned Snyders nice guy approach at hte start. While its nice to see and the way they all should act when courting my vote, but I dont think it will be long and Snyder is going to have to come out and do something to make a bigger splash.

Snyder is doing exactly what he needs to do. Sit back and wait for Bernero to wreck his own campaign. Bernero is a pompous idiot.

I agree Snyder is on track. But I have noticed lately that he is spending too much time commenting on Bonero's sound bites, carreer politics, etc. To me, he's starting to fall into that trap.

Brenda Lawrence a trainwreck? What makes you think that?

She's always come across as a capable public servant in everything I've ever seen about her.

X2. Snyder is doing exactly, IMO, what a business man should do. He's just not playing Virg's Game. When you apply for a job you don't smear the other people. You just put out what YOU have done and let the Hiring people make the choice. It's no different for him I think. He's putting out his Credentials, giving us an idea of what he would do and letting us make the choice. I hope he doesn't start to fall into the trap though.

Bernero is a crying little punk,he know's he is in trouble.

Crashing the town hall meeting, was just plain stupid,it was filled with a room full of synder supporters.

It just show's his campaign is run like a 2 grade playground, not a state governors race.

snyder and bernero were in talks about having a series of debates. they could not come up with rules they both could live with. snyder finally decided not to do it. i cant blame him. i think it was the smart thing to do.
why participate in something that wont help your campaign. why help your opponent?

im not from lansing, and i know very little about bernero.
he comes across like a real tool in my opinion.
crashing your opponents town hall meeting seems pretty screwed up to me!
not that i would ever vote for his party anyway.

Take everything you have ever heard about the idiot from Chicago that tried to sell Obama's former seat and apply it to Bernero. He is cut from the same cloth as the typical Chicago politician.

My favorite campaign sign from the last mayoral race in Lansing:

Anyone but Virg!

This guy is such a dildo. I like his attack ads that Gateway cut jobs in the 2000s, but forgets to inform the viewer that Snyder left that company in '97.

He sponsored my sisters softball team. Seems like a nice guy and his kids are great which leads me to believe he's a good parent so heck, that alone qualifies him to leave MI . . besides all the other things he's awesome at like Business!
