Default Yes You Can - Obama adds more debt than Washington to Reagan - COMBINED

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/72404

Excerpt:

In the first 19 months of the Obama administration, the federal debt held by the public increased by $2.5260 trillion, which is more than the cumulative total of the national debt held by the public that was amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan.

Figures don't lie, but liars can figure. And I'm talking about the author of that article.

quote:

"By contrast, President Reagan was sworn into office on Jan. 20, 1981 and left office eight years later on Jan. 20, 1989. At the end of fiscal 1980, four months before Reagan was inaugurated, the federal debt held by the public was $711.9 billion, according to CBO. At the end of fiscal 1989, eight months after Reagan left office, the federal debt held by the public was $2.1907 trillion. "

I wonder if the author of this article wrote an article about Reagan more than doubling the amount of cumulative debt that every one of the preisdents had built before him??

It's like people just don't pay attention to historical facts, better to twist around words and numbers to motivate a personal agenda.

Ah, I understand now. Doubling national debt over 108 months under Reagan is the same as doubling it in 19 months under Obama.

For the love of God, we need to get leaders on office that aren't retarded.

He isn't done yet.

He could easily triple it or cut it in half in 108 months

I'm just pointing out that the article STOPS at Reagan but does not explain WHY it stops there.

Anyone that thinks a particular "political party" is going to lower our national debt is just plain naive.

He will double the current number again. Not a secret he wants to spend even more.

The war in Iraq cost less in 8 years than what obama spent in 18 months. And he still thinks that dumping more money into the economy will turn things around, hasn't worked yet.

Obama hasn't doubled it. Bush Jr. did though.
