Yes the purse might be lower but you will probably get twice the competiors and twice the action for the spectators because money will still be on the line.

I think its going to be tough to get the average joe that wants to start trying these type of events to come out and drop $300 unless they know they have a good shot at winning. Have a lower entry fee, put on a great event, everyone has fun, money is won, and everyone comes back the next year.

im in no way bashing your race. I would like to run it, im just trying to help you guys out.
I greatly appreciate your input. You make some very valid points. We discussed it tonight, and all involved decided that we are going to stick with the $300 entry fee, go for the big pot, and put on the best event we can. We walked the course tonight and agreed that we have the makings for a high quality course, that will give everyone a great challenge, and offer the crowd a great show. We all honestly agree that we may not be catering this event towards the average wheeler with a stock to slightly modified rig, but we will be offering those type of events for those folks in the future.

Thanks again, and hope we see you at the event.

I would consider attempting to enter, but coming up with an extra $300 isn't likely. But I do like the idea of a higher purse and registration, that way you get more of the commited and skilled rigs/drivers vs the average joe.

Here's the breakdown of each purse as it will be paid out for each class.
*Providing we get 10 for each class, if not we will adjust the numbers accordingly.
1st place $1000.00
2nd place $500.00
3rd place $400.00
4th place $300.00
5th place $200.00

I know it only totals $4800 dollars, but we are including donated gifts, shirts, trophy's ect.

All the rules, and entry info will be posted up very soon on this site, GLFWDA, and on the Bundy Hill Web Site.

Thanks, hope to see you out there.

hmmm...$300, that's my weekly unenjoyment check, but the event sounds promising

Are there any regulations for rigs?

Nope, no regulations. It's a run what ya brung contest.
Just going by tire sizes for the classes 37"-42" & 42"-UP.

There are the basic safety requirements it has to have. Like a good cage, tow points, safety belts, fire extinguisher, ect.

Thanks, hope you can make it out.

Yes, you can run either class with 42"s, just as long as you pick the class that you want to run before hand when you register.
If you want to run in both classes, then all you will need to do is pay to enter into both classes, and you're good to go.

Thanks, hope you can make it out!

Yep, 1/2 mile long course, timed from start to finish, one lap or pass.

The course consists of hill climbs, big loader tire course, valley crawl, wooded trail with obstacles, rocks, pipes, more big tires, whooped out trails, off camber wooded trail, a little mud (but not a mud pit or bog), logs, winching, it's all going to be in there. This will be a challenging course.

Thanks,
Hope you can make it out.

So is the course for the comp all new or is it using the existing trails and obstacles? Thinking about coming down to watch and wheel but don't want to tow the rig down and have most of the good stuff reserved for the comp and not have much too play on.
