I'm picking this up early next week... A step down from the Heritage Softtail that I have been riding. But this one is all mine. Just have to get some tires...

I'm tall, but not fat at all

A set of forward controls, crash bars and highway pegs are on the list of stuff to get next year. I put about 10-15 miles on it during the test ride and it wasn't bad as is, but long rides the straight up and down legs would suck.

I loved that bike... slower top speed, but it got there in a hurry. Still have it in my dads barn.

I'm still fascinated by the 1%er lifestyle. Not the law breaking, gun running, drug dealer lifestyle, but the good parts of it.

That rocker is not associated with any of the flint clubs, nor does it resemble any.

My parents are charter members of the Durand Eagle Riders. They had to go through a bunch of crap to be able to have a patch on their leathers. They were told they should not have a rocker. IIRC they had to get approval from clubs or something. There is a BIG difference between a riding club, and a motorcycle club. Try to start a MC without talking to other local clubs and your in for trouble. A guy I went to school with got his ass kicked because he tried to start one without talking to local clubs.

Quite aware. However, the discussion at hand was regarding the Hells Angels. They are undoubtedly a 1% club.

On a nearly completely unrelated note, I think I found my next bike today. On a whim, stopped into the local dealer and talked with one of the salesmen for a bit. Sat on a brand new 2009 Yamaha Raider. They had it on clearance for $10k, which the 2010s have a sticker of $14k. Just have to sell my Ducati.

Here's the bike I looked at. Still debating whether I want the Raider (1900cc "Sport Cruiser") or the V-Star Silverado (1100cc soft bag aircooled) for $7900. The Silverado they had was painted almost the same blue color as the State Police cruisers.

Hey, would you let Melinda "try" your Ducati before you sell it? She might be interested in it if it is low enough and light enough.

Gladly. Give me a call or a text whenever you guys want to stop by, or have me come out to you. Not sure how much of a screaming deal I can give you, because I still owe money on it, but I'll hook you up as much as I can.
