Default 8.8 gears

So I finally got my self an 8.8 and it has 4:10 gears but I going to put in 4:56 or 4:88. my question is do I need to get a new carrier? I've looked @ other info and couldn't find anything so any help would be great.

Thanks, Andy

I'm pretty sure you dont need a new carrier. I put 5.71's in my 8.8 on my old 8.8

There is no carrier split. 2.73 to 6.14.

You will need a notched cross pin, or to grind a tooth on the ring gear for 4.56 and up gears.

Do you want to sell the 4.10 gears?

:-)
