Default Still undecided on Michigan's republican governor nomination for tomorrow..

Cox - Totally against obamacare, hates illegals, (imo) will defeat the normal dem candidate or that crazy whacko guy from lansing. I've been a facebook friend of his for a while, and his status updates kind of annoy me. Seems like a typical politican

Hoekstra - Not really sure on his views. Mitt Romney likes him, and I like Mitt. I was impressed that he didn't tell obama to f himself at that battery plant opening celebration when obama was ripping on hoekstra.

Bouchard - uhh, no.

Snyder - Looks like a total d-bag, and appears to have the same people skills as bush SR, I agree with most of his views, and his ads make me lol. He already stated that he will do anything in his power to get rid of the SBT which is granholm's big f-up of her term. Not sure if I like his health care views

As of right now, Snyder has my vote. It would be very interesting to see how a business/economics guy can handle a failed state over a politician.

Why no on Bouchard?

I am leaning towards Mike Cox, not sure about Snyder.

All Bouchard has to his credit is reducing the budget of the oakland county sheriff. Not sure if that qualifies him as governor.

One other thing about Snyder is he's filthy rich, and he doesn't owe any favors to any corporations for donations since he's funded the campaign with his own money.

for what its worth. my FIL has spent some time with Snyder and not only is backing him as a politician but also thinks he's a stand up guy on a personal level.

I am voting Cox.
I think Snyder could be a good choice because he could pull a lot of Dems and independants who just want something to change. I also worry it could end up like Devos and his lack of political experience could hurt him though.

I am undecided as well, but hopefull a good candidate will come out of this. Usually it is the lesser of evil rather than voting for someone you like. This year I think a few of the candidates have a lot to offer.

Mike Cox is the worst choice out of every person running, dem or rep. He has some neat adds that make him look like a stand up guy, but the men has zero integrity. Mike Cox will make Granholm look like the best governor in 100 years.
The other thing with Mike Cox is you're back to a career politician, everybody knows that doesn't work, so why put another one in office. That makes no sense what so ever.

The stupidity of the average Michigan resident is what hurt Devos. You going to do it again???????

Snyder is getting my vote. I think one of the better things he has going for him is that he's not a Politician. He's a Very Successful Business man. Our State needs help Financially and I think he can bring that to the table with out any ( or as many) strings attached.

I will be voting for Snyder. The rest are not qualified or are just the same old politicians that we don't need now.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (and I want to be wrong on this), but didn't Snyder Crash & Burn Gateway, or was that his predecessor?

I have my reasons why I am voting for Mike Cox and I will not be swayed by some random internet guy, but thanks for your input. I actually put a lot of thought behind who I support. I look at who most closely matches my goals and other factors which matter to me. I am not sure how you pick your candidates but it seems to me like you are using maybe more emotional than logical reasoning.

I've had first hand dealings with Cox over the past 10 or so years, he is a pretentious self serving lifetime politician, with not concern for anything but himself. I have watched him screw entire communities, as well as individuals. Ask his wife about his integrity, or how trust worthy he is. Of coarse you will go into his personal life doesn't reflect his political views, forget the fact he lies and cheats and has been caught, thats OK with you, right????
Is that one of the logical reasons you used????

unsure myself.

I like Snyder and the concept of a true non-career politician, but worry bout what the media would do to him (they like politicians and go after outsiders). I'd love to see a businessman get turned loose - if the system would let him achieve anything.

Don't like Cox - 100% politician.

Hoekstra is too much of a Bible-thumper although I generally like where he stands.

I believe that is after his time. He was the one that was at the helm when it took off in the 90's.
