Default Front or Rear Locker?

I just bought a Spartan Locker for my Scout and I'm debating whether to put it in the front or rear.

I currently have Trac-loc in the rear and open diff in front.
Since the spartan locker uses and open case, I would have to setup the gears if I put it in the rear.
If I put it in the front, then I just use the existing case and leave the gears where they are.

They are Dana 44's, if that matters.
It will see some street use, but mostly off road.

What do you think I should do?

I'd still put it in the front even if you didn't have the LSD in the rear.

I'm thinking it would be more beneficial in the front since that is where most of the weight is.

I have locking hubs, so driving on the road isn't a problem.

Since I only got 1 response, it's going in the front. I got it all torn apart and the locker in the carrier last night.

with how much you are taking those diff covers off, you can switch between front and rear locker real fast bud ;)

Installing/uninstalling a locker s a little more involved than just pulling the cover off. Besides, I don't think it would be a good idea to attempt it while I'm stuck.

Update: Besides breaking a u-joint and axle shaft, the locker has worked great in the front. I just wish I had an open diff in the rear so it was easy to install another one.
