Default jet boats tech

im putting a olds 455 jet boat basket case together with a buddy and we cant figure out where the water discharge goes. it has basset headers which both have water going to them but the main outlet for the t-stat also has a hose coming out of it. does this just get ported out the back of the boat? figured i would ask the great minds of GL4x4, any info would be great!

Have you hooked up the bleed out of the bowl?
The two tops go to your logs, That one odd nipple on the thermostat housing is your water intake from your bowl bleed. I'll post a pic tomorrow to be sure.

the two water pump inlets have the jet pump hooked to them. The two bassets headers have lines hooked to them also from ports on left and right of t-stat port(water cooled headers) it dont have the "log" system. the t-stat outlet had this crazy valve on it, we were assuming that was the hot water discharge. but the braided line we have dont reach the back of the boat. is that normaly where you discharge the hot water if it has headers? thanks

Well, we went two different directions (race vs play), but a lot of theory comes to play. I think you want your pump outlet plumbed into your thermostat housing and the lines from the water pump block off go to your wet exhaust.

The valve is to limit the water coming into the block. Too much = Too cool vs Not enough = Toasted motor$$. I prefer the thermostat option.

That 3/4 line off the bowl should be going into the intake. Also when you start it make sure you use that line to feed the block and bowl to prevent wear ring damage.
