Best way to contact me is through shawnvandahm@yahoo.com or cell 630-946-4557. Anyone that wants to help...lol or go in on a parts jeep. We can chop at my place. Here's the parts we're planning on. If you have any suggestions or input please chime in. This will be the start of a major project. 208k on the body, 4.2 rebuilt 25k ago. Runs strong - The BEAST... (Thank you Tim for the Jeep, hope the Harley turns out nice!)

Swapping the tup scares us, for now we're doing body work...

So, looking for the following in order of importance, found items listed below with XXXX:

***Phase One***

•Lots of Diamond plating to cover (soon to be cut out and reworked) cancer. Corners, Rocker Guards, Tail lower lip.
•Paint and Body work tools and materials
•Floor Pans (( found on J.C whitney for $70, Not an immediate priority so we.ll see ))
•Tailgate

***Second phase of project***
•Family Roll bar, happy to trade current..
•Doors - Full & Half Hard & Soft minor rust ok, No major
•Better seats
•Rear Bumper with oversize tire swing arm and hitch
•Front Stinger type tube bumper
•Winshield KC's , Stinger KC's

Update 6/15/10

XXXX Front Fenders Both. ( Purchaced both $123. Ea, from usaautoparts.com Alsip IL.)
XXXX Winshield Frame & Glass (Purchaced new cj Frame 6/15 from craigs lister in Homewood $75.) Great guy, has other good stuff and soon to have a nice chrome bumper package look him up)

Well, we brought Home a 89' YJ, 4.2 Auto 3"lift / 33x12.5 on steelies for my Son. Within 20 hours neighbor hit it at 20 mph while parked in the street. Pushed the body forward and put a slight crease in the tub. If you find a parts jeep and want to split the cost and parts and use my place to chop it let me know...

My Son is Crushed!

**Purchacing a grinder and cutoff tools today, pricing a welder**Anyone local want to have fun with welding - Need help here!

I have a body that has a lot of rust damage on the floor pans and the rockers. But the rest of it is viable. I will sell it very cheap... I also have a black tailgate that did have a crease in it but is pretty straight now. If interested let me know.

Hi Brandon, I'm really trying to avoid the rust, that's what I have now. We may cut it out and either weld in new steel or add aluminum diamond plating over the repaired areas. If we go the tub route it will be by locating a clean one. I've seen them come & go so it's mainly a timing thing. What's the tailgate look like "crease"??

Hams: I saw the body, thank you. What's under the corner plating? The only good exterior "body" parts on mine are the hood and grill. lol...

the only thing under the corner plating is more metal, they were not put on to hide rust, one side has a small hole cut in the body on the back to remove a broken body bolt, it can be patched very easily

Before I got it someone ran into the spare tire and pushed the tailgate in. We did some tweaking and pullin, it functions perfect but you can still see it had past issues. I'll try to send you a pic.

Please call me if you get a chance. Our frame is good with a lil reinforcing by the box and we're shying away from the complete tub "for now". I have it lifted already but may need other stuff you have... Thanks in advance..Cleaning out garage for her tonight. _

I was advised by a fellow member that since this rig is mainly to be my son's 1st car, daily driverm and badlands toy I may want to not go overboard just yet.. - Our daughter totaled her first car in her second accident in her 1st year of driving and crushed the back of our xj as well.. - I sooo have the itch...
