86 ranger ext cab 4x4 $500

needs some work. i know the timing needs reset and the fuel pressure regulator leaks. haven't gotten much past that. want it outta my garage. $500 and come and get it. thanks.

sorry, guess that would've been helpful. its the 2.9 v6 and i'm assuming the stock 5 sp manual trans. a previous owner told me the 2.9 was a crate with probably around 20,000 on it. i don't know how to tell and i have no receipts to prove it though. odometer reads 51,xxx i believe which i'm also assuming has turned over.

i'm not very mechanically inclined, so i never even tried to get it to run but i had a neighbor down the street come check it out for me (who is a mechanic at a local shop) and he got it to fire up in 5 minutes. he said the timing needs to be reset, he only adjusted it and it started right up. he's also the one that said the fuel pressure regulator is leaking. the timing will need adjusted again or reset to fire up though.

do you still have this if the timing and pressure regulator were fixed would this be ddable? what do you think I need something cheap to get by on for the winter. lmk I would possibly like to come look this weekend

i don't think it would take a whole lot more than that. i would put better tires on it cos the 31's aren't in real good shape. that and there is no exhaust from where the cat converter should be. other than that, i don't see why it wouldn't get you through the winter. but that would be up for you to decide. just let me know if you wanna come check it out. we can probably work something out for this weekend.
