Wow, my experiences with Paypal have been the exact opposite of the scenario you describe here. I refuse to ever deal with paypal and ebay anymore.

All a buyer has to do is say your item never arrived, and Paypal is known to just refund the money to the buyer and deduct it from the sellers (YOUR MONEY) account.

I remember when the PS3 first came out and were selling like hotcakes on ebay. Tons of scammers filed a complaint with Paypal saying that the product never arrived and hundreds of people were given their money back (after actually receiving their PS3, in brand new working order.) In some instances, the sellers were able to prove the person did in fact get their product, but most never saw a dime of their money. Shipped a $500 product after being paid, and then found that Paypal had refunded the money to these assholes.

There have been numerous threads on forums about this. And even if you do have an issue with them, they'll need to "Conduct an investigation" which is just a polite way of telling you to go fukc yourself and get you off the phone.

I only deal with the local dipshits on Craigslist and here (But I realize that some people need the mass market of something like ebay and they rarely have problems and that's fine, I'm happy for those that can effectively do business on there without getting anally raped. I on the other hand, always seem to get screwed.)

I hate Ebay and dead beat winners who never pay. You lose your listing fees and if you relist it everyone thinks it is a scam.

As far as paypal, I hate the 30 day payment hold (if associates with paypal).

Paypal other than ebay is still pretty good, other than the 3% fees... Don't forget to have the buyer add that to his payment.

Cash is king if you can meet face to face.

Wish I could, wouldn't have to screw with shipping either. It's a guy in New York (and not an eBay sale, it was through a bike website).

Name ANY product and I'll show you a review show it sucks.

MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of people use paypal, and just because some people were scammed into giving out their passwords does not mean you should be worried.

Honda accord

I know what you are saying, but I am unaware of another service like paypal?

Also, is it best to empty paypal asap after selling something? I keep a balance on my account. If I sold something and pulled the money before they claimed they did not get it, then what would happen?
