put it in a vice. Don't tightent it, but let 2 of the ears sit over the jaws. Tap the yoke with a hammer and it should pop the cap off. be sure to get the clips off first!!!

if your vice is big enough you can press them out easy that way. small socket on one side. big socket on the other, then tighten. pushes them right out usually.

ball joint presses work good too.

or a bfh can do it.

if its on a late 80's to early 90's gm product take it in. injection plastic retained joints suck to change.
the last one i did i left the map gas torch burning on it and left. after a while i heard a loud bang. took a while though.

i ended up snapping all 5 studs that hold the hub to the knuckle and the damn hub still wouldnt come off....so i cut the upper and lower balljont and pulled the whole assembly...

my buddy came over and did a dana 44 outta a chevy before he hit the hub on the smooth shaft part and it came a[art like its suppose to.

so i have a new ujoint, 5 new hub to knuckle studs upper and lower balljoints lol.But i ran it pedal to the floor with no problems all day at bundy.
