Thank You Obama

Now I can keep my kids on my insurance until they reach the age of 26!

Obama's approval rating: +1 person.

My girlfriend was on her parents insurance until she was 26 (Dec '09). All she had to do was be a full time college student. Before the snarky who is in college for 8 years comments, she is 1 year away from being a doctor.
I could have been on my parents insurance too. Is this a good vs bad insurance thing? What age are others dropped?

the insurance company that we have at work, would cover kids up to 25 or 26 years old .

however,

the group coverage policy at work will cut them off at

19 if not in college
and
24 if full time student.

from what I have been able to determine, you will (by this fall) be able to keep them on your policy - however, I don't see anything that would preclude the insurance company from dinging you a higher amount/co-pay/rider.

Really? You went to College right? While that age group (me included) may be the Theoretically healthiest, we're also the least experienced on our own and usually willing to do some pretty stupid things. That and We still get sick, Need to go to the dentist, eye doctor, some of us have on going medical conditions like Asthma. That being said, I don't have any
