Because the kit to change my NP205 10 spline is only 155.25 and the TH400 kit is 586.50. And i have all the parts already except the adapter.

You will end up spending that $ in upgraded parts to get the th350 to live. They can be built to handle some serious power, but it takes some cash to do it. The th350 is a good light weight trans though.

Picked up a set of heads and intake today. Heads are rectangle port 2.25/1.88 valves. Ported w/ new valve job. New valves, springs, retainers, and keepers. Intake is a Professional Products single plane intake.

How big are your combustion chambers that you're only at 10:1 with Dome pistons. I'm a 11:1 on my 383 with flat tops and a 64cc chamber.
