Default Truck got a new rear today

After having my custom Alcan rear leaf springs sitting around my house for the last 4 months, I decided today was the day to throw em at the truck to see what would happen. The result, I was out there all dam day (2pm until 130am). I had to be quiet after 9 which was fine since then all I was doing was bolting everything back together. I am still running my 4.56 gear and Detroit Locker. The shafts are brand new Yukons. The Springs are made for 3 1/2 inch lift, I wanted 3 and was told they will settle about 1/2 so that is what they built. I used the axle swap kit from ruff stuff specialties to hold it all on (can you say 5/8 u bolts!). I still need to throw some shocks at it, but that will have to wait until I can measure for em. I am going to run bilstein 5150's again. The only things I need to finish up is to paint the whole thing with black rustoleum hammered and weld on the little tabs that secure the brake flex lines. Here are a few pics of how I spend my day and killed my back and knees

Old stuff on its way out

New springs ready for action

Its new home

All said and done, it sits really nice now. I think its completely level now

Lookin up at the new pieces

Passenger side, here you can see the new disc brakes I put in. I used rotors and calipers from a suzuki sidekick
