Why I stretched it forward so far? That's just to avoid doing any trimming to the cab. I brought the rear axle back about an inch or two also by turning the leaf springs around. That was to help with departure angle, it still sucks at the moment though since I have not leveled it out yet, plus the stock bumper and hitch I have sits so damn low. I'll take care of that sometime in the upcoming weeks though.

A few nights ago I finally made my front driveshaft and channeled my trans crossmember. The next night though my third gear finally went out.

Right now I am in the middle of replacing a blown intake gasket in the freezing cold, then later this week I will either be getting my 4l60e rebuilt or I will be putting a 4l80e in.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Well I figured since I made one of these threads I'd might as well update it a little.

Last Summer I finally got myself my own little garage to actually work in. I picked up an old mig and I have a buddy who brought his tig over, so we got both setup in there. It was full of trash and shit when I got it, cleaned it out and had a housewarming concert. It was swell.

Since last Christmas, I have a rebuilt 4l60e, still using the 4.3 with 220,000ish miles, and 231 case. I made like extended radius arm/3link front setup (I don't know what exactly it would be classified as), started a rear bumper, cleaned up the end of the bed to make a tiregate, got rid of the rest of the ABS stuff and I made a new front driveshaft, I also got some tires.

I still have a million little things to do. I just got back to work about a month ago so cash is tight, I should be working on it soon again.

I like how you trimmed the rear, looks much better than what I have, I might try that with mine. Looks like a sweet project, the one I bought on 35's drives great on the road.

There was a picture of your truck a couple years ago sitting on a lawn or something with H2's and no hood I think, it was my wallpaper for a long time. Your's was one of the trucks I pretty much watched transform on ZR2USA.

Thanks Freak, I still actually have a lot of trimming to do, I need to trim the wheel well longer towards the rear.

Been a while since I updated anything I guess. Not much happening with it, I broke some frame stuff from the steering box having too much stress. I welded a bunch of plate on the frame to patch it up and braced in in a few spots. I picked up a new master cylinder, made a better trans crossmember, tailgate, did lots of trimming, I think that's about it.
