Injection Pulse Width Error (Response Time Long)


78


Wastegate Solenoid Fault

wanted to see if anyone has encountered these and what i need to fix???

my guess is you have a clogged injector that is taking too long to spray correctly. pull the injectors out and see if they are dirty. couldn't hurt to do anyways.

It sounds like A PMD is going south (Pump mounted Fuel Driver) which is located on the injection pump. The PMD controls the pulse width but another common cause of DTC36 is a sticking fuel solenoid in the IP.

A bad PMD can cause lot of issuses. Its very common on the 6.5 diesels. Does it stall out or do anything else funny. The good news is a PMD is not that much money, the bad news is its kind of a pain in the ass the to change. You also want to make sure all the grounds are good.

doesn't stall or anything runs a little rough when cold but that's about it beside the fact that the wastegate actuator isn't working.
