Oasis Report

Does anyone have the ability to run a Ford Oasis Report? If so, could someone run an Oasis report for me on this VIN # please? I am trying to find the build date of this F250, and the VIN is the only thing that I have access to. Thanks

Weird, i ran it on https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp and it pulled up the information, and i also ran a carfax on it. Didn't get any errors there, so not really sure what would be wrong...

This could be because the vehicle is not supported in this market,
or the VIN entered into OASIS is greater than 10 years old
or is one that OASIS did not recognize.

for what it is worth, I wouldn't shy away from an early 99. I love mine. A simple PCM swap for about $120 and you can use any tunes. The only downside is the injector size. I'de rather have the E99 turbo any day.

yeah that makes sense. any opinions on the problems of dusting that a lot of the early 99's had?

This truck is a good deal with the package that I want....6 speed, t-case shift on floor. I don't see enough reasons to shy away just based on the fact that it is an early 99

x2. I wouldn't pass on an early '99 either. I personally liked my E99 better than my '01. I thought overall it was a stronger running setup, not to mention the forged rods are a big plus. I would also recommend doing a PCM swap though. Aside from using any tune, the early '99 PCM will not display the cruise control light on the dash when activated. Most of the early '99s have the light in already in the dash, but you have to upgrade to the newer PCM for it to light up.

Mine didn't have any dusting issues. It is easy enough to check with a flathead screwdriver and a flashlight though. Mine was 100% stock with 190K miles on it and hasn't been driven much in the past 4 months due to my travels

Even with a '02 PCM that Tony Wildman recomended, my cruise light doesn't work. Guess mine didn't have the bulp. I was kind of bummed but in the end it's no big deal.

Doesn't the E99 and the late 99 use different clutches? Is one a DMF? Mine is an auto so I have no idea.

My truck was an auto as well, but I'm pretty sure both the early '99 and late '99 manuals were the same and both had a solid mass flywheel. I know the '97 and previous had a DMF though.
