10 bolt and dana 44?

I have a 77 f150 hp 5lug in my Bronco and want to go 8 lug swap I bought a 8lug chevy axle the other day from a buddy he has dana 44 and 10 bolts.
Whats the diff from knuckles out,I heard the 10 bolt has an undesired spindal,will 10 bolt knuckels fit a dana 44,I looked at his house and he has a few of both but the 10 bolt was in the best shape.I dont plan on going high steer ether. Any help would be great

IIRC there are no differents from the knuckles out! I'm using stage 8 locking spindle nuts for a dana 44 on a corp 10 bolt 6 lug axle witout any problems! The corp front axle have a small and a big bearing spindals.... When I was looking for a front axle to build (Corp 10 ver d44) I found that the dana bearings, seal, Molly axle shafts, molly U-joints, Diy lockers, etc cost more for the for the dana 44 then the corp 10 bolt! Here what I have into my front axle!

Corp 10 bolt front axles
GG 3.73 R/P
Alloy USA 5-760 u-joints
Yukon axle shaft (28 spline Inner and 19 spline outers)
EBC Cross drilled and slotted rotors
EBC 6000 brake pads
Stage 8 locking spindle nuts
Lockright Locker
Lockright cross pin
Spicer seals and bearings
MM locking hubs
Royal purple gear lub
Pro comp Pitman Arm
Pro Comp SS brake line
Offroad design sway bar dis-connect
Stock Calipers

knuckles out are the same between 10 bolt and 44. Make sure you swap the stub shaft also

Sweet thanks guys I took the 10 bolt axle apart this weekend and every thing is in great shape looks like it was rebuilt not to long ago.
How do I tell the diff between spindles,maybe pull the bearing and compare with my halfton d44.Not that I care to much as long as my swap goes smooth
I would think that Chevy would put a bigger bearing in there 3/4 ton trucks.
Btw the guy I got the axle from has like 30 chevy axles piled up ready to go some have lift springs and most have lock outs some 8 lug and alot of 6 lug
I seen one dana 60 left.I think he wants 250 for the half tons and 500 for the 60

Depends on the yr it could be 19 spline out with 28 or 30 spline inner.. you will have to pull your hub and measure 1 25/32 inner and 3 1/16 outers or 2" inner and 3 7/32"... When I rebuilt my axle it had the Large bearings and full cast hd disk brake backing / splash guard plate not the cheap 16awg lower located on the lower part..
