Default Could you imagine being a snow plow driver tonight?

That would suck.

I'm happy I am at home, and going to go lay in my silk sheet covered king size bed with my ultra thick down comforter, and fluffy feather pillows all around me..

Maybe Chauncy will even jump up, and sleep near my feet

Thats all I would think about if I was driving a dodge ram tonight

I wish I was a snow plow driver right now.

Apparently snow plow drivers have big mounds at home... of snow.

apparently if the snow stops at 9:35-9:40, stan gets a call at 9:42 to go out and plow.

I know the Road Commission plow drivers love snow on the weekends and especially holiday weekends. OVERTIME!
Most of the other folks I know who push snow have contracts for the season.
They would prefer it snows less than 2" at any one time.

I used to plow snow and if you run into trouble in the middle of the night it sucks. I used a chevy blazer cause the handle good in snow and you can get between things easyer. I had a parking block roll over after i back bladed a new place and the rebar pins layed open two of my tires at 3:30 in the morning. I had to drive to the shop on two flats 3 miles to and get some scrap tires out of the pile to finish the night, that sucked big time!

Yea, when I was dealing with the plow guys the contract was something like they plow for anything over 2 inches, and we get X amount of plows for the price we pay them for the season. If they had to plow more than the set amount of times, then we would have to pay more. And if we needed salt, it was another charge. Most of the plow companies get their money if it snows or not. Doing the contract was the only way to make sure you had a plow when ya needed it. Otherwise it was "i'll get to ya when I can".

Well my contracts are set up where I plow anything over 2". If its over 6" I charge for heavy snow. So no 2", no $$$.

dodge ram??? blazer????

I use a 8 yd dump with a belly blad and a 10' front plow and a hydro sprader on the tail gate...that is unless it gets reall heavy they its a loader with a 16' box blade:miff:

36 hrs aint long
when i used to plow metro and willow run airport we would do 40-50 hrs strait each time it snowed becasue it was Snow removal not plowing we had to load it in trucks and haul it out into the feilds!
