I swapped for this 88 cherokee that's leakin out the rear main... I have the pan pulled rear cap pulled and I can't for the life of me get the part of the seal inside the block to budge!! I have tried tapping on a small screwdriver on the pin and it still won't move! I'm not hittin the crank either... Any advice on how to get this stupid thing out?? Any help is greatly appreciated!

always wondered why there are so many vehicle brand-specific questions posted in "general tech", even though there are sections for those brands, and nobody ever says anything about the fact that they are in the wrong section?

a good punch, and a hammer that you can swing hard but accurate. Once it starts moving it will get easier. Good luck!
