As I said - mine are the cheapest possible units - intended for "house to driveway" use (freeing the garage up for Jeeps and 'vettes).

I have seen a better (~$200 unit) work from 17 floors up to a parking lot 150'+ across the street. The better units can also turn on your rear defroster. Just get one of those and leave the heat/defrost on wide open and it's like summertime...

if it's mostly to warm up the ass, how about what spo said, installing the heated seat elements.

or even cheaper, getting a coat that covers the ass too, and sitting on it?

:dunno:

and this will surely get me laughed at. but try it. as for range of transmitters.

hold the transmitter under your jaw, look at the car, open your mouth, and click the transmit button.

I can't explain it, but for some reason, each, and every transmitter for remote starters, remote locks, or car alarms that I've tested this on, works from much longer range if you put it under your ching, and "bounce" the signal against the top of your mouth, with your jaw open.

:dunno: no, it's not scientific, but it's literally worked on every one that I've tried. (try it from long distance the 'normal way' first, if it doesn't work try the method above)
