Distortion is sorta vague. What exactly are you getting at? I'm afraid that out of focus will be the main majority of shots.

No, no. Totally IN focus shots. Maybe I choose the wrong term. Ever when you're in town look out the window of a building at the building across the street and the reflection of the building you're in looks all kitty wampus? This is different from the reflections challange. This is any distortion. Something as simple as takiing a picture of a pencil in a glass half filled with water. That's what I'm after here. But be creative. THINK. Not the reflection of the pool, but a picture of that toy, log, duck, whatever IN the water, or UNDER the water. See how they look distorted? THAT'S what I'm talking about.
A little more challenging then some of the themes......but the only limit is the one someone places on themselves.

Here's a thought~with any luck...it'll be my last thought for the challenges......for Christmas, instead of doing the usual decorations, holiday lights, winter scenes, etc. What if we turn the Holiday around, do the dark side of Christmas. Lonliness, isolation. What do those things LOOK like? Learn to recognize that, you'll not only make a damn good photographer, you may be touched to reach out and save someones holiday..........or even their life. Not trying to be over tic here, but sucide rates go WAY up during the holiday season....JUST A THOUGHT.

another idea ive been thinking of, involves some photo shop work, but put yourself in a picture from your favorite Christmas story or movie.

photo shop isn't photography IMO. None of the pictures should be touched up, just take them as they are from the camera

It's kinda hard to photograph yourself into a movie.

I did, but how are you going to take a picture of yourself and put it into a still shot of a movie, Christmas special, or story without photoshop?

Example: National Lampoons Xmas Vacation. Take a still shot from the movie. Like take Chevy Chase off the saucer sled and put a picture of you on it. Or turn yourself into a cartoon and put yourself into Charlie Browns Christmas.

I don't know, photoshop is such a big part of photo processing these days. It is not necessarily photography, but where do you draw the line? Adjusting exposure? Croping? Double exposure? Burning? I did all those in the darkroom too. Why not do a challenge and see what people can do.

Didn't take it that way. I CAN be offended......but it'd take a lot of work. It's all good.
