Default Springfield XD-40 S&W

I've got a like new Springfield XD .40 cal I picked up new about a month ago. It's the 4" service model, 12+1 capacity bi-tone with stainless slide. 450 rounds through it with no issues whatsoever. All I've done to it was put on a Pachmayr rubber grip sleeve, shoot it, and clean it. It shoots great and I love the gun, but I've got a hard-on for the Sig 226 and just found one for a price I couldn't resist. I don't need to sell the XD but it'd help me cover the cost of the new toy if I did.

It comes with all the XD gear: lockable case, cable lock, 2 12-round magazines, barrel cleaning brush, gun holster, magazine holster, and magazine loader. The case still has the $520 price tag I paid for it a month ago(the bi-tone costs $40 more than the all black model and is worth every penny). It's still in fantastic condition inside and out---you won't find a cleaner gun that's had rounds through it.
I'll let it go for $450 with 100 rounds of Federal range ammo and 20 rounds of Winchester hollow points. I've got a bunch more ammo available for more money....I'll sell it for less than it cost me from the store but I'm not giving it all away since I'm already losing money on the gun.

For trades I'll consider a 3-4" barrel compact 1911 style carry gun(I'll throw in cash if necessary), HP60 and 14BFF 5.38 gears, hydro steering, and 33-35" tires for 17" wheels.

Bump (even though it is at the top) for a good deal.
I carry this in a .45 and love it. Shoots where you point it.

I guess I should've priced it higher! I didn't wanna make it anything ridiculous but I don't wanna lose my ass on the thing either. My ideal scenario would be a partial trade towards a compact 1911 like a Kimber Ultra Carry II or similar.

For $150 you can get a .357 conversion barrel and be able to run .40, .357, or .380 depending on your mood

I've shot Winchester, PMC, and Federal ammo through the thing with zero issues.

Youre not making this easy on me!

Let me make a trip to my gun store to see how these fit my hand. You may have just sold this thing to me, lol.

No problem. A big part of me doesn't even wanna sell it but there's only so much money I should spend at this point. Check one out and lemme know what you think....I haven't heard of many people who didn't like them

I just got back from the range with a buddy of mine who's interested in the gun. He LOVED it but hasn't made the decision yet because money is tight. Problem is, I reminded myself how much I love the gun and now I'm not sure I wanna sell it. I think I'm gonna hold onto it for a bit, shoot this and the new one side by side, and see if I can make a decision. I hate to be "that guy" but for now I'm gonna be taking this off the market. Thanks for all the interest and for those of you who are seriously considering it let me know and I'll tell you guys first in the next month or so if I decide to sell.

I should have bought a P229 back before I became unemployed! I'd really love to have one. You guys should check migunowners.org marketplace.

I love my 9mm xd. Just mentioned earlier I'd like to have the same in .40

I love my Ultra Carry though...no way I'd trade it off :)

Excellent price...especially for bi-tone

I know a lot of people that love the Sig P229's. I was not entirely impressed with them. I had to carry one on my left hip for 3 years, and it did get heavy after a while. Still a good shooting gun, though.
I love the Springfield, and you have an excellent price on it.

Thanks but I actually already picked up the Sig 226 and I'm having a tough time bringing myself to sell the XD. For now I'm holding onto it.....

they just came out with the xdm 3.8 sub com, might be a good gun if your looking for something smaller. I carry 2 xdm 40's put over 6,000 rounds never have a failure ever. absolutley amazing guns. My kimber UC II , is an amazing gun also, but if you have ever tried the slide release on them you need a long thumb and have to be a giant to release it, you have to pull the slide back to do so , have to.

I saw the XDM 3.8 and it's about 1/4" shorter than mine but the rest is the same size. I haven't seen anything at all about a subcompact version of the XDM...wouldn't that kinda defeat the purpose of the "M" model? If I get a smaller carry gun it'll probably be something single stack, not sure. I shot my buddy's little subcompact Kahr 9mm the other day and hated it, hopefully the other subcompacts are better.
