Default Rear Axle - Difference between TJ and ZJ mounts?

Will an axle set up for a ZJ also bolt into a TJ? I know they are both Coil sprung in the rear. Just wondering how much modification I would need to do to a ZJ axle in order to make it fit under my TJ...

yeah, I'm not interested in a stock ZJ axle. I've seen several axles for sale that were set up for a ZJ and I'm wondering how close they are to fitting in a TJ.

It'll bolt up. The Dana 44a found in some ZJ's has an aluminum center section but is still better than the D35.

x2. The 44a is actually a pretty decent axle - especially if you truss it. Still better than a 35 regardless though.

I wish I knew what it correlated to, by the 44a is very similar to another axle strength wise (minus the housing)...but it slips my mind currently.
