Smile Ol' Blue (Updated 1-17-09)

I ordered a 6.5" high Clearance lift from BDS and got some 35" BFG Mud Terrain KM2's so my truck is gonna go through some changes. I ordered this kit and got everything total for $3400. Dam...Pics tomorrow and project begins on weds. at fenton offroad. Also picked up inner and outer tie rods and a new pit man rod since these need to be replaced anyway.

Future Mods i want at the moment
-3.73 to 4.56 Gears
-tint
-replace the flowmaster knock off brand with a real one.
-throttle body spacer
-if it isnt big enough for my likings i will add a 3" body lift and run 37's.

Heres a picture of the truck. let me know any thoughts and suggestions that are HELPFUL
Tires on it are for sale also.

i ended up getting these rims

why do you always have to rag on everyones rigs? There is NOTHING wrong with Flowmaster! They are a very good brand.

bds is is worth the money, they make quality stuff. i would take the cat of and run dual flowmaster 40's with 2.5 in pipe, and i would get a nice set of fake bead lock steelies and just stick with the 35s

Heard that before and sounds like ass. IMO I would keep stock cat and do a single out cat back flowmaster, I think that sounds the best

Why do you always have to ASSume things? I'm not defending this person in any way but flowmasters have shown on numerous occasions where they restrict the exhaust more than other aftermarket mufflers. It depends on what the owner wants out of the truck, chances are that he'll never even notice the difference between the two.

Do you run a flowmaster on your stock jeep?

Nope, because a flowmaster on a 4.0 would sound , BUT i have felt the difference in performance on several other vehicles.

im in no way raging on anyones toys. much less a chevy. im pretty sure ive only ragged on one and i was messing around.

i personaly dont care for flow master and they do wear out rather fast. have you ran them before? the rust fast and arent that great of sound. magna flow has alot better sound and is deeper and throater as im sure thats what hes looking for. if he wanted loud he would go with cherry bombs for 20 bucks a peice and 20 bucks worth of clamps.

The bds kit will be worth it in the long run. its a awesome set up and is well worth the money. plus they are made in michigan and have a no question asked warranty

Headers, high flow cats, single 3" pipe, and a free flowing muffler are all you need. True duals free up horsepower and torque, but its all in the upper RPM range. A single exhaust system (with a dual outlet muffler if you must) will net you the most usable gains and help keep the torque curve a bit lower. This is especially important if the OP is going to run 35" tall tires and stock gearing. Not to mention running steelies will add a few more pounds of rotating mass over the factory aluminum wheels.

i have a friend that has the bds high clearance 6.5" on his
silverado worst lift ever made.... If you got the spacers for your front
axles then you should just send it back and buy pro comp or something different ,
if you got it with blocks instead of springs be prepaird for the blocks to fall
out and the ublots too break.

im guessing its not the kits fault but who installed it. they kits needs to be re torqued after a few miles are put on. NOT THE COMPANIES FAULT ONCE AGAIN.

I'd beg to differ, I know a lot of people running 40 series on their 4.0 and they sounds pretty good. I have one on my stroker and it sounds nice and throaty as well.
