Default 2 barrel to 4 barrel conversion for 1985 dodge ram

I am looking to replace the stock holley two barrel carb for a four barrel carb. I am not really certain what I need and do I need a new manifold or is there adapters.

Don't go too big on the carb. Stock motor needs a small carb. The 2bbl you have is prob a 350 cfm. 4 bbl I wouldn't go over 550-600 for a stocker. Other wise it will run worse than with the 2v. The adapters work but you will not get the full advantage of the new carb. 2v has more low end torque than a 4v. 4v with small primaries gets better mileage (if you can keep your foot out of it) and more mid to upper range power.

agree with above, when i had my 82 ramcharger, i researched this alot. most guys that did this said that it ran best with 550 cfm, don't go any bigger unless you want to do some heads and cam.
