Abuse of the system is a terrible drain on the economy and all the tax payers, but I thought the USDA is what paid for the the Michigan Bridge Card?

I can tell you this: I could, at any time, arrange for the use of a bridgecard for $.50 on the dollar. I also know that there is a woman that sells the use of her card that collects OVER $3800 per month on her card. This stuff is common practice in the hood.

I dont know her, I just know people that use her card to buy their groceries at $.50 on the $$.

If I reported every individual that was abusing laws I wouldn't have time to do anything else.

I once watched a morbidly obese women buy two boxes of twinkies and a two liter of mountain dew with a bridge card. I kinda had to laugh. I felt like asking her if she would be able to purchase food on her own if she wasn't a morbidly obese slob. I guess it's one thing if you absolutely need assistance to purchase normal food items to live, but using your bridge card to pig out seems a little bit wrong.

My wife sees a lot of abuses of the system in her job. Some obvious, some not so obvious.

Sad part is none of us know the whole story, just what CC saw. Yea, I know it looks shitty. And probably is a serious abuse. But sometimes there is more to the story.

(p.s. Because I am "Liberal Scum" I am sure someone will only read that last sentence and think I am defending the person. But they would be wrong)

Well, I don't know about your experience with selling to pawn shops and selling used stuff in general, but used purses and coats typically don't get much. She'd by lucky to get 1/2 of the cost, which wouldn't last long.

50% of an $850 purse would still buy quite a bit of groceries, or at least keep the lights on for a couple months. I'd much rather take half of what someting I own is worth to not be a drain on society.

But, if this person had enough money at some point in the near past to purchase an $850 purse, how much other stuff do they have at home that is worth alot more, and could be sold for near what it is worth?

So.. if someone that works at a store wants to discretely snap a picture send it to CC or me or someone on here. We will keep you anonymous and get the interest going for this by posting up some pictures :) At the very least perhaps it will make those of you who deserve the help feel a little better.

Merry Christmas!
