according to my math ....that truck can go 2791 mph.

I'm taking all my stuff there, see if they can tweak my trans to attain speeds like that.

thats why i will not take anything to a transmission shop. they seem to be worse the dealers when it comes to horror stories. on a side note, anyone that has ever seen a vehicle for sale at a place called Tune Master in pontiac on dixie. DO NOT buy it. i worked there for a week and the owner is as crooked as the world is big. he routinely turned odometers back and installed junkyard high mileage engines and sold as "Newly rebuilt engine". purposely tampering with an odometer is a felony with up to 3 yrs in jail if convicted.

Did it start to gain mass as it approached the speed of light?

Never trusted Aamco (a name designed to crop up first in the phone book) or their ilk (i.e. franchisees or company-owned garages run by employees rather than owners).

For do-it-yourselfers, I've had excellent experiences with "Mr. Whizard" out of ND ( http://www.mrwhizard.com/index.cfm ). Send them a bad unit and they rebuild it. Prices include shipping and they provide the purpose-built shipping container.

They repaired the cluster in my 88 Eldo after it faded and could be read. After a few weeks, the problem recurred. Called them, they sent another prepaid box, fixed it in less than a week (including shipping) all gratis. I understand that things sometimes go wrong, and appreciate businesses that back their work up.
